I remember reading the article below from nearly five years ago. When I came across it again this morning I shuttered at the thought that nothing has changed.
We owned land where four large TransCanada pipelines were installed over 50 years ago. When the first line went through in 1964 Dad was told by the foreman that the pipeline would be good for 30 - 40 years.
In May of 2012 NOTLEY is quoted, "We do have an aging pipeline infrastructure in this province, so this (pipeline spills) is going to happen more and more if we don't start enforcing proper maintenance and safety standards."
As I said.. nothing of significance has changed.
